Project description

In the dynamically changing socio-cultural and political-economic environment, what society needs is flexible, creative and pragmatic young people, confident in their own capabilities, ready to act and inspire others for development and solidarity.

At the same time, the way of thinking of young people about social and civic initiative as “pointless and wasteful time” is a serious threat to development, especially in smaller communities where access to formal and informal education, vocational training, information and counseling for young people is rather limited. Young people are apathetic, demotivated, they lack initiative for personal development and realization, and the participation in social processes is reduced.

And if this is an ascertainment made in the preface of the National Youth Strategy, it is obvious that there are other young people who have clear goals related to their willingness to participate and contribute to issues which directly affect them. Where they study, work, their social relationships are strongest, there they are most committed and supportive. These are the issues related to local development and the ability of young people to develop and realize their potential in the community. All this ensures results sustainability, intergenerational continuity & prospect for development.

This concept, complemented by the opportunities for CB partnership, intercultural exchange, knowledge, social & leadership skills, their implementation in practice, as well as work in a CB network, are at the core of the project we propose.

The project aims at building a network of leaders and clubs to enhance youth initiative, creativity and participation in project elaboration and development strategies for concrete initiatives, events, campaigns, in the field of youth activities and sustainable tourism with a clear impact at local, regional and CB level, tailored to the needs of young people, the communities, local and regional development as a whole.
